This is the amount your policy will pay out to the other driver and/or vehicle if you cause an accident.
This is an optional coverage. You can choose Medical Payments or Personal Injury Protection (PIP). Because personal injury protection also reimburses for lost wages/income due to injury and coverage for essential services, PIP is generally more expensive than Medical Payments. Limits that are listed are the maximum amount that will be paid out per person in your vehicle that sustains injury.
This is also an optional coverage. Recommended if you only want to carry liability on your vehicles, but still want to protect yourself against Not At-fault accidents where the other driver does not have insurance. This will pay for injury to you and your passengers and for damage to your vehicle, as long as you are not at fault in the accident. If you plan to purchase physical damage coverage for your vehicle(s), your policy will cover the damage regardless if you select this coverage and regardless of who is at fault.
